5 Great Resources for Learning SEO
Learning SEO is helpful if you want to achieve higher search engine rankings for your website or blog, or if you happen to be hiring an SEO consultant. The more knowledgeable you are, the better. It is not necessarily difficult to learn SEO, and the resources available online are plentiful. The following is my list of 5 of the best resources for learning SEO.
SEO BookSEO Book is one of the best resources for learning about SEO. The site features a blog, free SEO tools to help with optimization of your website, forums, videos, and free marketing tips & strategies. There is also a training course with modules covering PPC, SEO, Analytics, and much, much more. This is a resource for website owners looking to improve their search engine rankings through SEO, whether you are a beginner, or have years of experience. SEOMoz.orgSEO tools, guides, custom Q & A, marketplace and more for SEO/SEM professionals Google’s SEO Starter GuideGo straight to the source! As I wrote about in another post, Google put out an SEO Starter Kit, which is a great resource for beginners to start. You can’t go wrong implementing the strategies in this guide, and it is simple enough for any level of marketer to understand. If you only follow the guidelines in this SEO starter guide, and do nothing else, you will have a great start to having an optimized website. Search Engine Strategies ConferenceIf you are truly serious about SEO, and SEM, the Search Engine Strategies Conference is the place to be! Whether you are someone who wants to learn more about becoming an SEO/SEM professional, or you are looking for more information about online marketing for your company, you will find SES very helpful. And no matter your level of expertise, you will surely find valuable information, have an a-ha moment that you’ve been waiting for, or have a great time networking. SES has conferences throughout the US, as well as international locations, I am partial to SES San Jose, as it tends to be the largest conference with all of the leading Search Marketing Professionals. SearchEngineWatch.comSearch Engine Watch contains quite a wealth of information by top Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Professionals. You will find resources for running PPC (Pay-per-click) campaigns, SEO, analytics, link-building, social media….and the list goes on and on. Search Engine Watch also has job resources, white papers, free webcasts, and forums where you can get just about any question answered about SEM and SEO. |
